College is a big step in life from the preparing in school, the testing that has to take place, the long nights of studying in high school, the teachers that you have to put up with just to make the grade, and from the rejection letters to the acceptance letters. Every good thing in life always comes with a price to pay. College is one of those things that cost a hefty amount of money. Searching for the scholarships, and the grants is not as easy as it sounds. Just because you apply for many, does not give you the guarantee that you will get any or at least one. Even students who receive athletic, academic, or musical scholarships still end up having to pay for something. Not all scholarships cover everything. You always end up having to either come up with some “out of pocket” money or taking out some type of loan in order to pay for the full tuition, the housing and the supplies that you need in order to make it there.
Loans do add up, and with this economy coming up with all of that money on your own is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Working part time while you are in college is also very hard to do. Keeping up your grades, while you try to work to at least pay for the other expenses is not easy. Even while working part time while you are in college does not give you the guarantee that you will not have any debts left to pay. No one wants to end up with a lot of debt, and no money for anything, but you can always find a solution to make this money crisis a bit easier on you. You should not have to deprive yourself of what you want just because you do not have the finances at the moment to get where you want to be.
